IP of a legit user in DB

Hi,

I'm just curious what to do when a legit user is complaining about not being able to register for my forum? It appears their IP is in the database.

It's 196.35.158.184

the ip has a number of entries in the db, so i'm not sure if this is a shared ip, or the user has a reformed spammer haha?

It's actually listed in 3 databases;

Doesn't appear to be an F/P unfortunately. ProjectHoneyPot lists it as a harvester and spammer.

Looking up the PTR (bc1-rba-1-0.cache.isnet.net), it appears to possibly be a proxy at his ISP's end (his ISP will be able to confirm this) .

If you are sure he's legit, you may want to add him to a whitelist until he's able to change IP's, or he's able to find out from his ISP whether he can get a direct IP assigned (rather than going through their proxy).
