demo/developer parameter
« on: March 12, 2009, 04:03:36 AM »
Maybe you could provide an Developerparameter with which it would be easier to debug & code.

for example &develop=returnMaxChecks4Today would return the error that the site had checked more then it is possible and that you now need an api key and if you have a apikey that you should contanc botscout for an commercial account
also if you send a developvar the ip of the developer wouldn't be seend as spam (like i've tested yesterday and today very often and yesterday i thought that your database is holding me for an bot

hope you know what i mean

for example this is my code:

$vurl = new vB_vURL($vbulletin);

$vurl->set_option(VURL_URL$apiquery);

$vurl->set_option(VURL_USERAGENT'vBulletin/' FILE_VERSION ' | ragtek_botcheck');

$vurl->set_option(VURL_RETURNTRANSFER1);

$vurl->set_option(VURL_CLOSECONNECTION1);

$returned_data $vurl->exec();
//   $returned_data = '! Sorry, but that doesn't appear to be a valid API key.';   // debug

$firstchar vbchop($returned_data1);

if (
$firstchar == '!')

{

// error

}

else

{

$botdata explode('|'$returned_data);

if (
$botdata[3] > OR $botdata[5] > 0)

{

standard_error(fetch_error(array('ragtek_seemstobebot')));

}

}

now i have to set  $returned_data manual to ! Sorry, but that doesn't appear to be a valid API key. if i want to check if its working

Sounds like a good idea to me, especially when mixing spammer with non-spammer data whilst testing :)
