4000 signups an hour? Nooooooooooo........
« on: February 09, 2009, 08:46:16 PM »
There's a new user who (I think) may have mistakenly placed the bot-screening code in a header file rather than on a registration page, and he's banging away on the server here at 4000+ hits an hour.

Let's be realistic- no one except Hotmail is really getting 4000+ attempted signups an hour.

To prevent this from affecting other users I've temporarily blocked the IP of his site. I imagine he'll show up here in a day or so wondering why the code isn't working....

The moral of the story is, please don't do this. lol  :)
Please don't PM me for assistance- post your questions in the forum where others can see them.
